Well today I meet a girlfriend at our local quilt store, I was initially looking for just a fat quarter of fabric. But then she showed me a cool pattern for a reversible tote bag. So I started hunting for some cool fabrics to make the tote.
I decided on a yard each of these fabrics. And some SULKY thread to sew with. What do you think?

Bothe green and the purple have hints of gold. I am excited but a tad nervous I've never sewed anything other than a flanged pillow.. Wish me luck :)

ReplyDeleteIf I may suggest, practicing sewing the bag with other fabric (unwanted, ugly fabric) so that the nice stuff isn't ruined. I don't know how complicated the pattern is, but if its simple, you might be able to sew it up in one day and then do it properly with the the nice fabric another day. The fabrics are lovely and I just love Sulky threads too! Good luck!
